Since autumn 2011, the rope inspection with the Winspect® rope inspection sytem. The new, modern 2S Nebelhornbahn,  is also inspected with our device. We thank you for the long and good cooperation. The mountains around Oberstdorf and Kleinwalsertal, such as the Fellhorn and Walmendingerhorn, as well as the modern D-line ropeways at the Ifen, will also be inspected digitally. The newly built cable cars on the Söllereck family mountain will also be analysed digitally in the future.

Thanks to the Winspect® rope inspection system, professionals can perform the visual rope inspection mostly in the office. They are able to cope with this task especially in bad weather conditions or to bridge the gap in marginal times. Currently, the ropes of all cableways that are in operation during the summer are inspected with Winspect®. With the funicular «St. Moritz Dorf-Chantarella» they started into a new «rope inspection age». We are delighted that the world's number 1 mountain holiday destination has chosen us.

Since the opening of the highest 3S track in the world - the Matterhorn glacier ride - they have been inspecting with our Winspect® device. Several other cable cars have been inspected with our system since 2017.

Mayrhofner Bergbahnen AG is our reference customer in Austria, who carried out a parallel test (apparently and visually) required by the BMVIT for months. This data, together with the experience of German reference customers, led to the approval of the BMVIT (Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology) in autumn 2011.
Mr. Rauch, Plant Manager at Horberg: „The result was that we found wire breaks at both plants with the Winspect® optical rope inspection system, which were not detected during the apparent rope inspection.
This comparison shall confirm the suitability and function of the rope tester with regard to the rope check’.“

The Tahtali is 2365m high and a special tourist attraction. Due to the proximity to the sea and the high temperatures there is an increased incidence of thunderstorms.

The ability to detect lightning damage was therefore particularly important to the customer when he decided to use Winspect® to inspect the track and hauling ropes of the aerial tramway many years ago.

The Schauinslandbahn, a ropeway with historical character dating back to 1930, has been inspecting the hauling ropes with the Winspect® device since 2010. Due to the long draw rope length of more than 14,000 m, the rope inspection can now be carried out economically and quickly.

Our customer Imerys has decided for occupational health and safety reasons that during the inspection, no personnel may travel in the slopes of the material ropeway.

The technical solution was a "Combined system with Winspect® and magnetic inductive testing", which was realized together with the company Rotec.

The new construction of the Jennerbahn was a strong signal not only for the region. For the cable car company and all neighbouring profiteers, this means stable, constant visitor numbers throughout the year! A win for all. In the case of the Jennerbahn, especially for all persons with reduced mobility—all buildings and cabins are steplessly accessible.

The Wendelsteinbahn has been one of the pioneers of its time since May 25, 1912, when Germanys first high mountain railway was officially opened. In autumn 2014, Manfred Geiss, plant manager of the Wendelsteinbahn, decided to inspect the ropes in future with Winspect®.

„In the event of lightning strikes or cable derailments, we can quickly and flexibly inspect the ropes for damage in the morning—before operation.“ Our conclusion: „In our view,  Winspect is not only a big step towards even greater safety, but also an enormous time saving! – we are very satisfied!“ writes the responsible plant manager.
